Lost OOTP league – no “SavedGames” folder or autosave files on macOS (started after disk filled up)
I’m using a Mac and I’m not very tech‑savvy. Recently my computer ran out of storage, and I didn’t realize it at the time. After freeing up about 30 GB, I discovered that my Out of the Park Baseball saves have vanished.
The ~/Documents/Out of the Park Baseball/SavedGames/ directory is completely empty—there are no league.db, autosave_*.otpsav, or incident_… folders. I have tried the following:
- Searched the entire Documents folder for “.otpsav” and “league.db”.
- Revealed hidden files with Shift‑⌘‑. (nothing appeared).
- Checked the Application‑Support location (~/Library/Application Support/Out of the Park Baseball/).
None of these locations contain any save files. I suspect the saves were removed or hidden when the disk filled up, possibly by macOS cleaning up space.
Has anyone else experienced a similar loss on macOS after a full‑disk event? Are there any hidden locations I might have missed, or recovery steps I can still try? I would also appreciate tips on how to prevent this from happening again.
I hope I’m following the forum rules—thanks for any help!
