(Normally, I express this as the Mets' Tragic Number…but this season is already a tragedy/travesty. )
This is the Mets' 3rd 7-game losing streak of the year. There was the one that took us down from our 45-24 high point, where we got swept by Tampa Bay and Atlanta, the one in early August, which featured sweeps by Cleveland and the Brew Crew, and now this.
7+7+7=21. Blackjack!
