Kings' next game was at home against the Dodgers and rookie righty Ronnie Walden. Leading off the 2nd he drew a full count walk, but the game was scoreless in the bottom of the 2nd when with 2 outs, he flew out to CF Randy Winn.

With 2 outs in the 5th, King took the 1st pitch the other way over 1B Mickey Morandini's head for a double to extend his streak to 48 games.
