SP Ty Johnson pitched around a couple of early StL errors to deliver a much needed solid performance, allowing just an unearned run over 6 IP. Rookie Keifer Lord picked up the 3 inning save despite loading the bases in the 9th. He got 2 pop ups before inducing Schwarber to gound out to 1B to end the game.

StL jumped out in the 1st inning, led by a run scoring triple by Brace (scored on a SF by Tommy Tanks). Brace later added a monster HR down the LF line, and recently recalled Eduardo Beltre kept his momentum going with 3 hits, just a double short of the cycle.
