Although, I still think the entire game's balls and strikes should be called by robo ump. Only two challenges ... Say the human ump is irked and, once the two challenges have been used up by him getting two challenged calls right for a change, he decides to expand or contract the strike zone after that.
But still, it's a step in the right direction. May it prevent a least a small portion of the egregious calls that we have been seeing (so carefully documented and broadcasted now) and the Aaron Boone-like beefs that ensue.
