MLB news: Sept. 20 -- Angels are back in postseason
After a one-season hiatus, the Los Angeles Angels will return to the postseason after they clinched a spot in the American League playoffs despite a 5-1 loss to the Minnesota Twins.
At 85-67, the Angels lead the Houston Astros by 5.5 games in the AL West Division with 10 games remaining in the regular season.
Los Angeles and Baltimore are tied for the best record in the American League.
The Angels have not reached the World Series since 2002, when they defeated the San Francisco Giants in seven games.
