Week 22 – September 8th: Royals Execute Waiver Claim; Avoid a Home Sweep
We acquired RP Stevie Emanuel off waivers this morning. I’m not sure why Oakland let him go since he appears to be a reliable reliever for any team, with no injury history and two control years remaining before arbitration. He could serve as a back-end starter but is better suited for middle relief and mop-up duty from the bullpen. He offers several years of versatility and helps us as we start planning for our 2025 season.
He got his first appearance in tonight's game and pitched well across 2.2 innings.
