Game 1
The
Kyiv Terrapins took the series opener 4–2 at Kingfisher Park, powered by a composed outing from
Hank Hacker. The 97th overall pick in the 2057 draft worked eight sturdy innings, allowing just two runs on seven hits while fanning five. Catcher
Axel Paparelli provided the spark at the plate, driving in two with a single in the third to put Kyiv ahead for good.
Sheffield’s offence never quite found its rhythm, with
Ehsan Aas and
Nsen Ngunda both going deep but combining for just three of the team’s eight hits.
Andrew Sandoval took the loss after surrendering four runs over 5⅔ innings. Kyiv improved to 20–15, while the Mountain Hares dropped to 18–17.

Game 2
Catcher
Ruben Rodriguez was the difference in Game 2, launching a decisive three-run homer off
Isaac Saville in the top of the fourth to lead Kyiv to another 4–2 victory.
Valery Vonsyatsky delivered five strong innings on the mound, yielding just two runs and striking out three before leaving injured in the fifth.
For Sheffield, Saville was otherwise solid across 5⅓ innings, allowing only one additional run beyond Rodriguez’s blast. The Mountain Hares produced baserunners but couldn’t deliver the timely hit, stranding eight. Kyiv’s bullpen trio of
Jake Speed,
Kai Wattu, and
Pedro Perez held the lead, with Perez picking up the save.

Game 3
The
Sheffield Mountain Hares finally answered back, taking a wild 9–8 walk-off win to close the series.
Eskinder Ali pitched well enough to keep Sheffield in the game, and
Espen Aas sealed the win in dramatic fashion with a solo homer in the bottom of the ninth off left-hander
Amelial Muhlyiddin.
Earlier,
Saqib Rutz and
Ali both homered for Sheffield, while
Rob Graham added two hits and an RBI. Kyiv’s
Eun Min had a strong night, going 3-for-5 with a homer and three RBIs, and
Alvaro Bobbio also went deep, but a shaky bullpen outing cost them the sweep. The crowd of over 45,000 roared as Aas’s drive cleared the right-field wall.
