And Armando Gonzalez, you gotta love it—solo homer in the second to get the party started! And the rest of the gang, Bedard, Trevino, Diaz… oh my, oh my! They were on fire today!
The Kings, they tried, they really did. Kopitar hit one out, Romero got a solo shot, but c’mon, folks, it was just a little too late! Chicago’s bats were screaming all day long, and that’s how you put up twelve runs on the road, baby!
And the pitching! D. Amaya goes six innings, gives up two runs, strikes out four—smooth as butter! And then Nakamoto shuts it down for the save. Perfect game? Well, maybe not perfect, but close enough to make you say, “Holy cow!”
