The St. Louis Cardinals have placed infielder Llover Peguero on the 10-day injured list after he strained a hamstring during a 7-2 loss to Tampa Bay on August 22.
In 53 games/43 starts this season, Peguero has hit .252 with three home runs and 17 RBIs.
Coming up from AAA Memphis is 27-year-old infielder Jose Ramos.
In 90 games this season between AAA Memphis and AA Springfield, Ramos has hit a combined .319 with 11 home runs and 44 RBIs.
St. Louis acquired Ramos in a Dec. 2028 trade with San Francisco.
