The St. Louis Cardinals have signed right-handed closer Daniel Munoz to a two-year contract worth $31 million.
A year ago, the 35-year-old Munoz topped the National League with 44 saves while going 4-8 with a 3.38 ERA in 70 games for the Philadelphia Phillies.
Munoz broke into the majors with Philadelphia in 2027 and over four seasons went 20-21 with 122 saves and a 2.99 ERA in 255 games.
