The St. Louis Cardinals have announced the signing of right-handed reliever Griffin Jax to a one-year contract worth $5.3 million.
The 36-year-old Jax spent the 2030 season with the Atlanta Braves where he went 1-4 with 17 saves and a 1.26 ERA.
Jax broke into the majors with the Minnesota Twins in 2021 and played there through 2026.
He spent the next four season with the Braves.
In his career, he has pitched in 576 games/14 starts and gone 56-63 with a 3.65 ERA and 84 saves.
