So we've reached the halfway point of the season..........
.......If the playoffs started today, the Chiefs would be emptying out their lockers. They wouldn't even be the 1st team left out. The Jags are a half game ahead, plus own the tiebreaker.......
.....The NFC race for the postseason should be interesting. Philly is the only team in a comfortable position. They are 3 wins better than Dallas & Washington. Everyone else is in a dogfight. You could be in 1st place today & out of the playoff picture tomorrow....In the NFC South, Tampa is one win ahead of Carolina & they still have 2 games w/each other left......The NFC West & North is anybody's to win. Seattle, LA & Frisco are tied in the win column. (All 4 play each other this Sunday) Only one and a half games is between 1st place GB & cellar dweller Minnesota.......
......
Derrick Brown is a menace...........
......You're supposed to get
two pumps...... But seriously, what is the celebration rule in the NFL? Cause I don't know how that was flagged and others are let go. That flag led to a missed XP & could have been the dif in the game...........
.......Wasn't like there were any huge blockbusters, but did it seem like more trades than usual this deadline?.............
........I'm trying to figure out which is more confusing....That the Bengals haven't fired Al Golden, their defensive coordinator? Or that Al Golden, their defensive coordinator, is an ex NFL TE?............
.......ESPN has some impressive equipment. MNF had a camera shot of Jerry Jones & Stephen A sitting together in Jones' luxury box. That's a lot of ego & camera hogging on the screen at one time. Surprised TV screens didn't crack all over the country...........
.......Should we start putting CJ Stroud in the "Tua" category? I believe this is the 3rd time he has had a concussion after a blow to the head......And BTW, the hit he took Sunday was far from dirty. CJ slid late & the DB hit him shoulder 1st, square in the chest........
.......Opening week saw the Browns play the Bengals. Final week will see the Browns play the Bengals. Would this be the 1st time a QB started a game vs an opponent he started for in the same season?......Flacco w/Cleveland....4 games 58.1%, 815 yds, 2TD's, 6 INT.......Flacco w/Cincy...4 games 64.7% 1254 yds 11TD's, 2 INT's......If that doesn't say fire the Browns' think tank, I don't what would convince you. That is either a sign the coaching on game day sucks, or the assembling of talent in the front office sucks. Flacco, after spending the previous year & an off season on your roster did that, and walks in w/zero equity & does this, has to be a sign to clean house.................
