2 subleagues, each with 3 divisions, each with 8 teams

10 games against 7 other teams in division (5H/5A)

6 games against 16 teams in other division (3H/3A)

No imterleague games

Two leagues are essentially mirror images of each other, except that some of the off days are not the same between leagues

No cases of more than 20 straight days without offday

No homestands or roadtrips longer than 14 games

All game times on Monday through Friday set at 7:05pm, except for a few Friday games

Season begins first Saturday on or after April 1
Season thus ends late September or early October

All-Star Game set for first Tuesday on or after July 4

Weekend games. and a few Friday games, start at 2:05 PM

Off days only on Monday through Thursday

Some Friday games are day games to prevent a team from playing a night game, then playing a day game the next day at a different ballpark
