Can't believe the Panthers have 2 more games before their bye week........

........I'm not feeling the Eagles defense dominated the Lions Sun night. While they certainly were good, Detroit was done in more by their decisions to go for it instead of taking the FG. Another example of analytics making people dumber, not smarter. Detroit lost by a single TD. They gave up 3 opportunities to kick a FG. An INT led to a FG. A short field due to a failed 4th conversion led to a 2nd FG. 16-9 Philly could have been 15-10 Detroit if not for Detroit's failures..............

..........Carolina also nearly lost to Atlanta because they went for it on 4th early in the 3rd instead of taking the easy 3.........

.....Which leads me to this......Where is the data on all this "go for it, screw the 3" nonsense? Will the math nerds please tell me how your math is mathin'?

Here is my philosophy....If it is a close game before the 4th quarter & you can score 3 on 4th down...Kick the frikkin' ball!!!!......Stop throwing away points. Passing on the FG to go for it on 4th before the final quarter should be done only if (A)the ball is inside the opponent's 3 on 4th & goal, (B) your PK is hurt, (C) the distance is one yard & your line shoves icebergs in the off season. STOP GIVING AWAY POINTS!!!!!!!...........

.........Anyone else besides me think Josh Allen is a glory hog? Why is he running it in all the time & not a RB?...........

.......KC needs to be on red alert. In a playoff that takes 7 teams from each conference, they are currently 9th. Their 5-5 record is tied w/Houston (who currently has the better conf record) & Baltimore (who KC beat earlier). Good news is they can get a tiebreaker advantage vs Houston later. & they play the Chargers. But they have a loss to the Jags. Them & Pittsburgh look to be the teams they will be fighting for the final spot or 2. But each game should now be considered must win..........

.......The Lions are in 3rd place in their own division despite being the only team in the top 5 in yds on offense & defense.............

...........Seattle, KC & New England are the only other teams in the top 10 in both categories.............

......All that talent on Philly, and they are barely ahead of New Orleans in offensive yds per game, who have almost zero talent...........

......Who started the year thinking Steelers vs Bears would be a battle between 1st place division teams?.....

......Looked @ last night's game thinking "When was the last time the Raiders were good"? Turns out their last playoff was 2021, not as far back as I thought. Seems much longer.............
