Cards news: July 20 -- OF Michael Harris and two relievers make All-Star team
The St. Louis Cardinals have learned that outfielder Michael Harris and relief pitchers Osvaldo Berrios and Ezequiel Parrilla all have been named to the National League All-Star team.
Harris, 30, was voted onto the team by the fans as a designated hitter.
This season, in 90 games/89 starts, Harris has hit .284 with 10 home runs and 56 RBIs.
In his first season with the Cardinals, Harris made the NL All-Star team four times as a member of the Atlanta Braves.
This is the first time All-Star selection for both Berrios and Parrilla.
Acquired in a March 2031 trade with the Colorado Rockies, the right-handed Berrios, 31, has pitched in 39 games for the Cardinals this season going 1-1 with a 2.29 ERA.
St. Louis acquired the left-handed Parrilla in an off-season trade with Toronto.
The 25-year-old has pitched in 36 games going 7-1 with a 3.35 ERA.
