The guy asked a question towards the end of the video. How much longer will people be watching that game from their couch knowing what they know now. Something like that. I predict an insignificant number of fans stop watching the game because of this.

Do kids play football on streets, parking lots, or fields anymore? I really don't know.
The flag football angle was interesting because I had wondered myself why the NFL was pushing this recently. Flag football may not be new. But the NFL trying to expand that version of the sport is relatively new.

According to the vid, the reasoning is they are trying to keep youth involved in the game. And if parents aren't allowing their kids to play tackle football, at least they could get into the safer version & hopefully still be future consumers as adults. I think it is a good idea for them because it involves girls playing & that can expand the NFL's reach into the female market.

The reasoning for the foreign push was an interesting theory to me. Because I hadn't thought of the NFL's popularity having the potential to drop in the USA. I knew the NFL was seeking more profit. Duh. But I hadn't thought of them as being fearful of needing to replace lost fans in America.

So the vid did help me better understand the business decisions the owners are making. There is some forethought to the madness, though it still is motivated by a lot of greed. Lost consumers or not, I'm still opposed to tax $ building this billionaire's club factories to make profit & then letting them take the product oversees.

And as much as I love, LOVE, LOVE watching tackle football, my conscience would not be opposed to seeing the violence taken down a few notches. In order to prevent future suicide, mass killers, family destroyers, senility & 50 yr olds who can't walk. So get rid of helmets? Get rid of the 3/4point stance? End the QB sneak? Drastic changes, for sure. But it is kind of sadistic & inhumane to know what we know & think "Que sera, sera".
