I have never dealt with single-digit ratings, so hard to grasp. I gather these are relatively high? He did have outstanding years in 1945 and 1950. I don't use annual recalc, so no experience there. Maybe if there are no stats for the previous year, the AI looks back to the last active year? I think that's what happens with guys who were off during World War II.
