You are 100% correct, the Erie team photograph pictures Jim Reardon (specifically mentioned in the 6/16/1885 edition of The Hamilton Spectator). Photographic comparisons can be made additionally since Reardon was also on the 1885 Syracuse team that year. It appears Jeremian "Jerry" Reardon is now a missing player. He was notorious for running into the law and was in office in St. Louis for the Democrat party for several years. We may be able to find a picture that way.
