CATCHERS
John Davis LHH 24 35 days service time. 2004 1st round pick (2nd overall) out of Dayton HS. Games 33rd ranked prospect. Got a September call up and did well. Likely will be ½ of a R/L platoon with Holbert. Slightly above average defender with a developing bat that our scouts think will be elite.

David Guerra Switch 24 1 year service time. Rule 5 pick from Baltimore in 2008. Another local “star” who is loved around the league as well. A much better LHH than right, but arguably one of the games best eyes at the plate. Hit .253/.377/.354 last year over 194 plate appearances. Not much power but he gets on. The biggest concern is his defense. He's well below average according to our scouts and can get lazy at times behind the dish. A player I'd like to think has a ton more value outside this organization than in.

Matt Holbert 31 RHH 5 years 44 days service time. Recently signed a 1 year extension at 1.54 million. He's an elite defender and another guy who has an outstanding eye and great plate discipline. Hit .247/.369/.413 with 14 HR over 122 games.
