Aaron Knight talks have been all over the map. Prior to the end of the day on the meetings final day, Jake Hoffman of Utah sent me an offer. 21 year old RH SP Jonathan Burke for Knight, and P Ryan Feltman. Also, we are on the hook for 50% of the remaining money, after this year. They asked for 4.3m in cash to offset this years 11.4 million, meaning we'd be paying 10m of the deal, saving 1.5m this year only.
Why am I even entertaining this? Burke is the 7th ranked prospect in the ABL. OSA loves him even more than our scouts, who say he's a legit game 1 of the world series starter in due time. I couldn't do it, but I told Jake I would be in touch.
