Misiaszek Earns Eastern League’s Top Bullpen Honor
Akron RubberDucks left-hander
Andrew Misiaszek was named the
2024 Eastern League Reliever of the Year, capping a season in which he established himself as a reliable late-inning weapon. The 27-year-old Oceanside, N.Y. native pieced together an impressive campaign, logging 38 relief appearances and piling up 71 strikeouts in 67.1 innings. Though not a traditional closer,
Misiaszek proved invaluable in high-leverage spots, finishing the year with a 9–2 record, a polished 2.41 ERA, and two saves that came in critical moments down the stretch.
His dominance was reflected in the voting:
Misiaszek secured 11 of 12 first-place votes and finished with 58 points, making him the clear choice among league managers and media.
Somerset right-hander
Jack Neely claimed the remaining first-place vote and finished second with 38 points, while
Hartford’s Victor Vodnik placed third.
New Hampshire’s Mason Fluharty rounded out the ballot.
