Cards news: Sept. 14 -- Starting pitcher Segura out two weeks with biceps injury

St. Louis Cardinals have learned starting pitcher Eric Segura will miss up to two weeks with biceps tendinitis, an injury he discovered after he was forced to leave the team's 7-6 victory over Miami on Sept. 14.
Acquired in a trade with Cleveland on July 18, the 26-year-old Segura has gone 4-4 in 10 starts with St. Louis this season with a 3.31 ERA.
For the season, the right-hander is 11-7 in 29 starts with a 3.68 ERA.
His place in the rotation will be taken by left-hander Yadiel Batista.
Batista, 26, started the season in the Cardinals' bullpen before moving into the rotation.
He had some early success, but later struggles resulted in him being sent to AAA Memphis.
With the Cardinals, Batista was 6-8 with a 4.87 ERA in 29 games/20 starts.
