The expansion Jacksonville Panthers would squeak in as the wild card beating division winner Atlanta 4-1 in the NLCS and then stun 103 win Philadelphia to become the fastest expansion team to win a title in just their 5th season.
Denver SS Nate Sikes would win his 2nd Aaron Award hitting .286 with 37 HR while Philadelphia ace Roberto Chamorro would go 18-5 2.64 after transitioning from the pen, where he was the 1999 Rivera award winner.
Brooklyn's Jimmy Lewis hit 26 HR's on the way to winning the Jackie Robinson while Patriot reliever Tim Buchberger went 6-2 with a 1.78 to win the Rivera.
In the AL there were 4 first time winners. Roadrunner Andy Peterson hit .318 with 35 HR as the RF won his first Aaron award.
Oklahoma City's Travis walker was just 12-11 with a 3.69 but voters felt that was worthy of his 1st Koufax.
Fresno reliever Jordan Ortiz went 4-4 1.45 to win the Rivera while Roadrunner rookie Greg Farnsworth hit .298/.363/.501 with 20 HR's to take home the Jackie Robinson Award.

SEASON HIGHLIGHTS
28 year old Jon Cook fanned 8 in tossing the years only no-hitter in a 6-0 win over San Jose. It was the 2nd no-hitter for the Philadelphia franchise.
Denver's Chris Brown went 20-9 2.95 as the leagues only 20 game winner.
Quite a few milestones were reach as Ethan Brooks scored his 1000th run, and also became the 1st IBL player to hit 400 HR's.
