2003
The LA Storm are back! After a 5 year hiatus they returned to the World Series (their 7th) and downed the Austin Roughnecks to win their 5th title.
LA's 103 wins were not only not the highest total, but it made them the wild card to division foe Arizona (106-56)!
LA got payback though as they downed Phoenix 4-2 in the Division series before beating Jacksonville 4-2 and then Austin 4-2 in the World series.
Storm 1B Matt Graham hit .338 with 42 HR's and 130 RBI's to win the NL Hank Aaron Award.
Teammate Myles Gaines won what I think is the 8th Koufax award by an LA Pitcher as he went 15-9 3.19.
Roadrunner rookie Steve Chase hit 34 HR's en route to winning the NL's Jackie Robinson Award.
Vega reliever Josh Haag was 4-3 with 21 Saves and a 1.85 ERA in winning the Rivera.
Portland 1B Adrian Fajardo hit .305-47-109 with 113 Runs to win the AL MVP
Teammate Neil Mitchel was 15-9 2.82 in winning the Koufax while Detroit rookie CF Kyle Wise hit 39 HR's and drove in Detroit rookie record 115 to win the AL Jackie Robinson.
Columbus reliever Jeremy Sacks was 4-1 2.37 in winning the Rivera.
