The Gladiators are atop the AL's southern division, leading Charlotte by 5.5 games. 23 year old Nate O'Connell will step into Martin's role. The youngster is a ++ defender who has hit .362/.438/.692 over 36 starts and 150 PA's this year.
Wyoming 3B Jeremy Schaus went 4-5 hitting 3 HR's and drviing in 6 in a 14-2 win over Denver on Thursday. Schaus was the 3rd overall pick in the 2004 draft.
