Game 1: 6-5 W. WP-Whitfield (1-0). Starter-J.Jimenez (5.2 3 1 1 2 8). HR-Gurrola (5), Castro (2). White was the hero with a walk-off RBI single in the bottom of the 9th to rescue a game the Rays were in the process of blowing with the bullpen having lost a 5-1 lead after the 7th. Whitfield vultured the win despite giving up a 2-run, 2-out single in the top of the 9th. Gurrola drove in 3 including a 2-run homer and Castro was 3-4 with a solo shot and 2 RBI as he's been a revelation.
Game 2: 8-2 W. WP-Vargas (3-1, 5 7 2 2 1 4). HR-Rutschman (7), W.Perez (2). Perez, who was hitting .103 in 44 AB and had pretty much lost his CF job, got the start and came through with a 4th-inning grand slam to break this one open while Rutschman drove in 3 with a 2-run homer and sac fly.
Game 3: 4-1 W. WP-Buckman (3-0, 7 2 1 1 1 4). S-Whitfield (6). HR-K.White (6), Hardy (6). Rays completed the sweep behind Buckman's best game of the season and a couple of homers including White's 2-run shot.
