Outfield: This is where Oakland really saw their changes this offseason. LF Leo Jimenez and RF Miguel Navarro create a strong young outfield with CF Andoni Barlini. Also newly acquired Jorge Flores would’ve been the starting center fielder, however a spring training injury sees him starting the season on the IL. Edgar Melendez returns as backup, and Neil Calkins cracks the opening day roster. Luis Navarro will spend yet another year in AAA, his 3rd in a row.
