Pierre,

Welcome to your first regular season as GM. I hope that the off-season has treated you well! I’ve been very intrigued by the articles written about us this offseason so I’m very hopeful for this season! I hope you’re keeping in mind the goals I set for you in our initial meeting. You need to be hitting those. However, I’ve been told to calm my expectations a little bit, so this is also a reminder that the team should play .500 ball.

Opening Day Lineup

A meeting with manager Zach Bourdon, bench coach Ji-e Ju and myself saw us discussing player roles for this upcoming season. We ultimately decided on this lineup for opening day.

Miguel Navarro, RF
Marçall Camacho, C
Leo Jimenez, LF
Felix Reyna, 1B
Jorge Gonzales, SS
Guillermo Salvador, 2B
Sergej Pijnenburg, 3B
Andino Barlini, CF

This is the main lineup vs righties. Jimenez and Gonzales will switch places vs lefties.Calkins will play every other game in center until Flores is back healthy.

The rotation will be Tom Luther, Jim Reed, Dan Pierce, Glenn Bain, Steve Sasso in that order. Ressler takes the closer role, Anderson will be a right handed specialist, and Bakken a left handed specialist. Everyone else will be designated as a middle relief role.

Financial Forecast - Our player salaries total up to $121,622,000 (ranked 28th), and total expenses just under $190 million. Projected revenue is $169 million, and projected revenue sharing is $33 million. With the ownership group taking $11 million, we have a projected final balance of $1.2 million, much lower than the $27 million Mr. Shelby wants. Hopefully our play on the field will make him happy. Fan interest starts the season at 47 with medium loyalty in a average market size.
