You have the two confused. The one that got released was not the one accused of the felony. Stefon, the one that allegedly committed the assault, and adamantly denies it, has not been released, and has the full support of the Patriots.
Who here believes that if the Patriots weren't sitting at the #2 seed, with a chance at the #1, Diggs would be released by now.
