So, got a lot wrong. Most glaringly, the Bucs. Early on it looked like I might be a genius. Now it looks like I was on some kind of hallucinogen. But I was going for something different. I chose poorly.

I think all of us would have been surprised that neither the Chiefs, Ravens or Lions would make the postseason. I did expect a drop off for Detroit because of the new coordinators.........

I did expect the Bears & Patriots to improve, but not this much. Chicago has had pretty good luck factor going on for them. & New England;s schedule had more cupcakes than we thought..........

I look at Coach of the Year different than most. The press decides a coaching job is good or bad based on the predictions the media had for them preseason. But that is mostly about personnel. And that is the front office's job. The coach manages the season. He has to get the team to perform well despite the obstacles that come their way. So I vote Seattle's Mike MacDonald #3, Minnesota's Kevin O'Connell #2, & San Francisco's Kyle Shananhan #1...........

Harbaugh will be unemployed only as long as he wants to............

I don't have an MVP unless a player is so outstanding that he makes it obvious. I think the last time I thought clearly there was an NFL MVP was Steve McNair. There are too many specialized positions & football is the greatest example of a TEAM sport. One where different skills & sizes make up a cohesive unit. I really believe most seasons there can't be an "MVP".............

Bengals had 5 pick 6's. Two each by Flacco & Burrow & one by Browning. Matthew Stafford was the only other QB w/more than one..............

How long will FOX continue to force Tom Brady on the rest of us?..........

Rating the job openings from best to worst:
1. Ravens..if this team is healthy I could coach them into the playoffs
2. Falcons....weak division, 3rd place schedule, good pass rush, BiJan Robinson.
3. Browns......lots of draft picks, Sanders has chip on his shoulder, Myles Garrett, lots of picks from previous draft are panning out
4. Giants....the fish bowl of NY, the pieces you are building around appear to be injury prone.
5. Titans...not sure Cam Ward is the answer.
6. Raiders.....ownership....when is the last time you thought they made a good decision?
7. Cardinals....ownership....when is the last time you thought they made a good decision? Three other teams in division combined for 38 wins. What do they do with Murray? How do they replace him?..............

Keep in mind, if we didn't allow all division winners into the playoffs, we never would have had this............
