MLB news: Sept. 26 -- Dodgers make playoffs for first time since 2027
Despite falling 2-0 to the Cleveland Indians, the Los Angeles Dodgers have ended a five-year playoff drought by clinching the National League West Division title.
At 84-70, the Dodgers top the division by 9.5 games over the San Francisco Giants with eight games left on the schedule.
Los Angeles trails the NL East Division leading New York Mets by seven games for the NL's best record.
