The DB even admitted he did it on purpose cause he didn't want to give up the TD. So he wasn't even trying to disguise it. It was so egregious, he got fined afterward for a helmet to helmet hit. So even if they missed the most obvious PI in the history of civilization, they surely should have flagged him for a PF Unnecessary Roughness.
Worst missed call ever & it is silly to even debate an excuse for the officials on that one. |
I've said it was a PI, but it was close. The ref just said what I said. But I did get a better angle of the play and the ball looked to be 4-6 feet behind the action. But in real time that's probably not even a second. After looking at that better angle, I can say most plays like that are flagged.
