Minor League Seasons Come to a Close

NEBL

Another New England Baseball League campaign is in the books. The regular season has ended and the playoffs are about to begin. It is a time of skill, talent -- and luck. And when all the games have been played, one team will survive and be crowned the 2317 New England Series champion.

It's playoff time. The best teams have emerged from the divisional battles and now it is the survival of the fittest. Only one team will survive and they will be crowned the New England Baseball League champions. Here are the matchups in the League Championship Series:
Everett Mutant Hounds (V81) vs Abernathy Adamantium (BH) and Waltham Wanderers (Lex) vs Warwick Mirelurks (Star).

MML

Another regular season is in the books, and the playoffs will begin in a couple of days. It will be a battle of survival -- and the final survivor will be the Massachusetts Minor League champions. The "haves" will be in their radiant glory, playing for the league title, while the "have-nots" will be at home, sitting by the hot stove until springtime.

To win the Massachusetts Minor League title is the zenith of any baseball career.

Players on postseason qualifiers will get the chance of a lifetime beginning today with the League Championship Series, where both heroes and goats will arise, but only one team will emerge as the Massachusetts Minor Series champion.

The playoffs are a time for managers to map out pitching and batting matchups and on-the-field strategy. Rivalries soar to new heights and destiny's fickle finger holds the fate of the teams and players. The League Championship Series begins today with these games:
Revere Beach Shoremen (Rox) vs Marblehead Grenades (Good) and Hull Lead Bellies (Qui) vs Hartford Melonheads (JP).
