2092 IPA Tycobbian Union Title Series - Game 3
HARTSDALE HOME WIN GIVES THEM LEAD OVER LYNX 2-1
Lordy mercy, there may be another upset in the making --- underdog Hartsdale just won their second in a row over Pro Cup champion La Claire --- a big 4-run 6th did the job, highlighted by Dickie Fraisse's 2-run two-bagger that pushed the Hellcats ahead 5-4. Their bullpen did the rest. Winning pitcher Darren Peabody (1-0/4.26 ERA) and Bomber McBee (0-1/2.53 ERA/2 saves/4 games) blanked the Lynx the final 4 frames on just one hit and gave Hartsdale a 2-1 margin in the Tycobbian Union Title Series. Rookie closer Enos Elliott (1-1/1.93 ERA) was pinned with the loss. He surrendered the go-ahead runs and blew the save. Both clubs only managed 7 hits apiece. Hartsdale was led by Wayne Gervais (.281 BA) with 2 hits. Judah Pickens (.379 BA) with 2 hits paced La Claire. David Glascock (.030 BA/1 HR/3 RBI) of La Claire got the game's only homer, a 2-run wallop. Neither starter Mitch Womack (1-0/5.73 ERA) for the Hellcats, nor Paul Unruh (0-1/10.38 ERA) for the Lynx were effective.
