It seems like the reason OOTP would both allow 3 teams with one license AND force you to use different emails to register each is because they intend that it should be for different people, not the same person. You know, hey you bought a copy and your two kids like playing it too. The fact that you have to use different emails seems pretty self-explanatory.

I'm guessing the majority of people fielding multiple teams generally aren't spending money on all their teams. They get a few good pack draws with one team, then bam, that becomes their primary team. The others become pack and card farms.

There's that overt "entering the same tourney with multiple teams" BS. But there's those "secret" ways people can cheat, such as your team A putting a low bid on cards your primary team needs for mission X, which your team B has and sells to you for cheap since its the highest bid. I doubt the mods keep an eye out for that kinda thing, although it'd be pretty easy to flag that in code by checking if multiple transactions from the same teams happen (and less so by checking IP addresses).

Guess I can't change the world with just ideas when it's truly all about the money.

The biggest problem isn't buying the game, which you have to do once in order to play the latest version; it's generating the ghost email addresses needed to confirm the teams.
