The tournament opened with cross-continental matchups in the winners' quarterfinals. Both BFA squads sent a message early, as Beijing took down Hill Country and Hyderabad defeated San Francisco, both ending in 4–2 series victories. In the losers' bracket, the Skyhawks won the all-AL battle, eliminating the Seals 4–2.

The winners' semifinals saw a BFA rematch, where Beijing once again got the better of the Pearls with a 4–1 victory to punch their ticket to the finals. In the losers' semi, Hill Country continued their survival run, handing Hyderabad yet another 4–2 series loss to advance to the Grand Final.

The first-ever GAC Final came down to a high-stakes Game 7 between the Beijing Guardian Lions and the Hill Country Skyhawks. In a classic winner-take-all battle, Beijing secured the victory to claim the first GAC Trophy in league history.
