Baseball Federation of Asia: 2011
The Hyderabad Pearls (68–53) and the New Delhi Metropolitan Club finished in a dead heat, forcing a Game 121 tiebreaker. Hyderabad pulled out the win to secure the division, while the Beijing Guardian Lions (72–48) won out in the Pacific to claim their first-ever table trophy. The Guangzhou Rams (68–52) rounded out the field, securing the lone wildcard spot.
The postseason was a gauntlet for the Pearls. Despite entering the semifinals against Guangzhou with a two-game higher seed advantage, Hyderabad was pushed to the absolute brink, narrowly surviving a Game 7 to advance.
The BFA Finals set up a high-stakes rematch of the 2010 title game. Having lost both the BFA and GAC trophies to Beijing last year, the Pearls finally found their revenge. In a hostile, packed house in Beijing, Hyderabad took Game 7 to secure their first bracket title.
The two powerhouses effectively flipped trophies from last season, with Hyderabad taking the bracket while both head into the GAC as Beijing looks defend their global crown.
