Newly crowned champ, Ammo Williams, agreed to come to Philly to face Danny Garcia in his 1st defense. Ammo wanted a name opponent & liked the idea of beating a former champ in Rocky's city!
In a bout that lacked the brawl action I expected, Danny proved to be just slick enough to eke out a SD - 144-141, 141-144, 143-142.
Both fighters appeared tired most of the fight, Danny's 8 years older than Ammo & the champ came into the fight with a slight paunch - maybe thinking Garcia didn't have much left & it would be a light work fight.
Danny also won PL: 318 (32%) to 292 (25%).
