[Highlander]

I won't usually report on individual games, but this one was worthy. It was Steve Rogers on the mound for the Expos against John Candelaria of the Pirates. Both pitchers were on top of their games and the game ended up with a 1-0 score.....unfortunately it was the Pirates that were on the winning side. The Candy Man went 7.1 innings and Kent Tekulve finished it up for the save. Rogers went the distance and his one blemish was a solo HR. You might guess it was by Willie Stargell, Dave Parker, Jason Thompson (who hit 31 in 1982), Mike Easler or one of a couple other power hitters on the Pirates, but it was none other than Omar Moreno who did the damage! Omar, who hit a whopping 3 HR in 645 AB in 1982!! Gotta love baseball.
