Deleted Teams offering jobs

I deleted 2 teams in the edit league structure page before beginning play. Those 2 teams are always listed on the available jobs page and if you click the team name they have a home page and everything. The page displays the standings for the ML eastern division, so apparently the database thinks it is there, but they don't show in the standings. They do sign some free agents (6 over 3 years), but I just want to get rid of them. Any ideas?

has anyone else seen this? The teams were deleted after the "start game" button using the league setup edit league structure page.

Were they deleted before any games were played? Did you generate a new schedule after deleting them?

I am going to try and reproduce this. If you can get jobs with them, no big deal. But if they are signing free agents, that's interfering with the game.

I've just noticed this too, although only in the player edit screen when assigning players to teams during an "expansion draft". The deleted team shows up in the drop-down menu.

Okay, so I just got hired by a deleted team.

1. Started a new game
2. Added a fictional baseball league (used the default structure and rules)
3. I let Joe Unknown start the game unhired.
4. I deleted two teams ... one from each division of SL1 ... and generated a new schedule

When I go looking for jobs, the deleted team from the SL1/Div2 is offering a GM job. So, I took it. Sure enough, there's a home page with the remaining SL1/Div2 teams in the standings, but my team isn't there.

Yeah, I've seen it as well.

I think what the game is doing is although you delete the team it is keeping the team "active" - if you look at the Teams Index in the History section it is still listing deleted teams as "active franchises" instead of making them "earlier franchises" (Catobase/BB-Ref distinction) and therefore "inactive".
