Cy Young Rest Signing/Status/Pitch Count problems
I'm playing in a historical league (starting in 1901). After the 1906 Season, Cy Young retired and was put in the hall of fame. However, I did not want this to happen, so I unretired him. This is when problems began.
Originally I tried having several teams sign him as a free agent, only to find out he was not listed amongst the 1907 free agents. He also wouldn't respond to contract offers. Ultimately, I had to edit his profile to sign him with a team (in this case, the White Sox). I started the 1907 season, and Young pitched his first game with no problems. However, when I was about to start his second game (4 days later), I found that Young was still listed as having pitched the current day - before the game even began! In addition, his rest status had not improved over his time off. When it came for Young's 3rd start of the season, the same thing happened. His pitch count for the current day continued to improve, while his rest status got lower. By his 4th start, he was down to 0% rest status, and is listed as having thrown 530 pitches today. Does anyone have an idea why this is happening? And is there anything I can do to get the big guy some rest? |

Which version were you using when you observed this behavior? Have you seen it using version 9.1.6?

*EDIT* OK, I updated to the current version, and now things are worse. He disappeared off the White Sox roster, but when I looked up his profile on the "Career milestone leaders" section, he was still listed as a White Sox player. I tried retiring and unretiring him, then placing him back with the team, but when I tried to start up a game the next day he disappeared again. Last edited by TIRWIN007; 08-06-2008 at 01:05 AM. |

I'm a newbie when it comes to FTP, so even with those directions I'm not sure how to zip the files.
