He comes out of the bullpen on a forklift

Just noticed a pitcher that was drafted by the Marlins in my first season, Philip Walby 6'2" 2005lbs! That's a BIG boy!

Thanks good catch....Fixed and will be in the next patch that includes any roster update.
For now, go to his player profile screen and click edit player and set it to 205. You should do this if you're gonna keep/use your lg. as the game now uses body mass for some calculations and 2005 lbs. is gonna mess with those.

If he played SS I wonder if that would affect his range.

He wouldn't need any range, he'd just have to stand between 2nd and 3rd and nothing would get through.

Awesome! Can you delineate what calculates with body mass? The ability to turn the bases? Ability for a catcher to absorb a ball in the dirt? The possibilities!

The only thing I'm aware of is it affects how players develop as they age. I'm pretty sure players with a high BMI are likely to lose range. Others who know more about this may be able to add some info.

As far as I know that's correct. I'm also pretty certain there's a built in random factor. So there's the possibility that the player could lose weight and gain more range. I'll look and see if I can find more info..

..."Defense now develops properly, correlating to BMI and speed. Some defensive ratings start out lower for very young players (age < 20) and then develop, eventuelly dropping again when the player adds to much body mass".

You need to pay attention to height / weight and current defensive ratings yourself. If you draft a 18 year old SS who already is a mediocre SS with a BMI of 26 (the average young SS has a BMI of 23.5), then it is pretty likely that he will become even thicker and lose a step or two, hence making a move to 3B (for example) necessary. However, this is not guaranteed, some players may even lose weight or develop their defensive skills more... this is tied to randomness and the work ethic rating

Hmmm ... he'll be awesome, as a goalie, in the NHL ...

I would love to have him hit leadoff. I wouldn't even send him out there with a bat. Just have your batboy and bench coach take him out in a wheelbarrow and dump him off in the batters box. He would break Biggios record for being hit by pitches before the AS break.
Instant 1.000 OBP!

He might clog the bases a bit though.

When he played NCAA ball it was mandatory that he be substituted for a pinch runner.
After that unfortunate incident when he tried to break up the double play at second

Many live were lost that fateful day
