How do you manage your young pitchers?
does it matter how much your young pitchers pitch? do they become more injury prone if I throw them into a full season too soon? It seems my pitchers are getting injured more frequently since I change my rookie and S A leagues to full season. I wonder if I am imagining it or if they really are breaking down early.
BTW, does anyone else get some morbid pleasure when you trade a player away and shortly after they go down with a long term injury? I feel like the injury was coming regardless and I missed the bullet by trading them. I had a star pitcher in his prime that I traded for some sweet prospects. In his first start with his new team he tore his rotator cuff. He went from normal to wrecked injury status just like that. |

I don't tend to pay too much attention after I trade a pitcher away, but I certainly get the opposite when I send a top prospect away only to see the player I get back get hurt for the season.
