That was funny, RchW. They just might need now a way to get into the office with all the snow that has fallen lately in the Boston area.

After some initial interest (read: I focused for more than one minute on something...), I have kind of lost it. I reasoned this way:
- I bought OOTP 15 and never even installed it - OOTP 12 still does a stellar job of screwing me over - why bother with OOTP 16?

You clearly want someone to ask so... why?

Hah man, OOTP 15 is already light years ahead of 12. 16 will be amazing.

I wasn't necessarily looking into being asked, but since you did ...
I got 15 when it was a few bucks off after release (All Star Game?), and had a league on the Pacific Coast in mind, but I never got around to make up my mind on where to place teams, to design a schedule, and so on. Then a couple of people in the office ... "went to the DL" ... and I worked intense overtime for the last six months of the year, which made my Raccoons dynasty plenty enough to worry about. And now it's February, and I still haven't installed 15, and I can't be bothered right now, although it would be fun to manage a winning team again, which I didn't get to enjoy since July, either. But who says my team in a different league would be winning. Maybe I suck at managing. ![]() And since I have 15 sitting around anyway, why would I buy into 16, regardless of the features? I've come to hardly being able to care less about it.

I would strongly urge you to try 15 at least. 15 alone is a million times better than 12. That will at least allow to make a more educated decision about the progress of the game. Despite all of the back of the back features listed, I think you'll appreciate the increases in league processing speeds and AI. All of which are many times better than 12.

I haven't been out of my house since Friday except to shovel and they just canceled tomorrow too. Cabin Fever, is real.

So unless I am sharing the OP's point, I must not post in a topic? That works nicely with freedom of speech I guess.
But fine. You lot crouch here beneath the table and wait for the crumbs about 16 to fall down, I'll be minding my own crap without interfering with you and your fantastic excitement any further.

I have to agree with westheim here. I don't understand the negative blowback he received. Should we all agree with the masses or keep our mouths shut? In fact, I commend his patience. Sometimes I wish I could simply be happy with what I got, but yet I'm always looking for the bigger, better thing.

They will come when they come. Right now, they are need deep in Beta testers feed back and they have a goal to get the game out just right! To take the time to write a piece or two on the game does not matter if the game does not work the way it should.

Second, no one said you had to agree with the OP. What's puzzling is why, if you don't care about the game at all, are you in the OOTP16 forum, and then posting inside an OOTP16 thread, when you clearly do not like and have no time for it? You sound like one of those people who think everyone values your opinion so highly and you want to tell the world that you're not buying the game, you're simply too good for it! Well here is a newsflash, we don't care! If you aren't going to buy the game or play it, then why hang around and say a ton of negative things about it? We get it, it's not enough of an upgrade from 12 for you, fine, peace be with you, get the hell out and let the people that are actually interested in OOTP16 talk about the game without your negative garbage. THANKS! |

Yeah I always like to post in forums for things I don't care anything about! Makes total sense! |
