HTML parse error in News Log

Running version 17.9.60.

When I open the News Log I see a dialog box titled "Parse Error" with the note "HTML_PARSER::start_tag - unknown tag_type found: Matt"

If I click "OK," the message repeats, with a new name (e.g. Adrian, Kevin, etc.) every time. If I click "Cancel," the News Log loads as normal.

This crops up later on in the season (I think after roster expansion in September) for me in OOTP 16 as well, but it happened almost immediately in my OOTP 17 standard game.

Once one of the logs loads, could you please post the html here? The easiest way is to "open in browser", and then when your browser opens it should show a file. Then if you open up in explorer (if on Windows), navigate to the file, open it in notepad, you should be able to copy and paste the contents.

That will tell us the exact HTML causing problems and should help us track it down.

When I open the News Log I see a dialog box titled "Parse Error" with the note "HTML_PARSER::start_tag - unknown tag_type found: Matt" If I click "OK," the message repeats, with a new name (e.g. Adrian, Kevin, etc.) every time. If I click "Cancel," the News Log loads as normal. This crops up later on in the season (I think after roster expansion in September) for me in OOTP 16 as well, but it happened almost immediately in my OOTP 17 standard game. __________________ "Sometimes, this is like going to a grocery store. The easiest way is to "open in browser", and then when your browser opens it should show a file. Then if you open up in explorer (if on Windows), navigate to the file, open it in notepad, you should be able to copy and paste the contents. That will tell us the exact HTML causing problems and should help us track it down.
