Spring Training opened with Jim Abbott being knocked around by the AL Champs. The Tigers beat the Blue Jays, 6-3.

Miguel Rivera homered for Toronto.

The Jays didn't get a hit until the 8th but in took until the 12th before there was any scoring.

The Red Sox took this one, 2-1.

Keith Foster struggled in his first Spring start, but the Toronto batters came from trailing 7-0 to beat the Mariners, 10-9.

Leonard Williams went 2 for 2 with a home run and 2 RBI.

Julio Franco went 2 for 3 with a home run and 3 RBI as the Blue Jays beat Cleveland, 9-8 in 13 innings.

Two Toronto relievers left the game early: Candy Sierra and Larry Morris. Sierra appears to be fine while Morris just needs about a week to recuperate.

Manuel Garcia also homered.

It was a great bounceback start for Jim Abbott, but the big star of the day was Vincent Ramey, who went 3 for 5, including a Grand Slam.

Dan Mathis also hit a Grand Slam and Terry Pull added a solo shot as the Jays beat the Rangers, 10-6.
