Cash Maximum
I'm having a problem with the amount of cash team's are accumalating from year to year. Is there anyway around this?
I'm using the settings that the Owner decides the budget and there is no revenue sharing. Under those settings, you can't limit how much cash each team can have on hand (that option disappears when you select 'no revenue sharing'). So teams just keep banking cash from year to year, and Owner's keep upping their budgets into the $200,000,000 range which they will never spend. It's not realistic. Anyway around this without using revenue sharing? |

If all of your teams are making too much money, adjust the league financials. For example, if you leave the average attendance, ticket price, and media contract at their default settings, but then go and have a salary cap or lower the average salaries the players make, the teams make WAY too much money.

Azamien, I see your point, and that may be a solution. But, that would possibly take many iterations to find the right balance.
I just don't see why we can't have a cash maximum option when there is 'no revenue sharing'. Having a cash maximum, even when the Owner's set the budget, seems to me to be the easiest way to avoid having huge amounts of cash carried over season to season and driving Owner budgets up. That way it just simulates some Owner's pocketing profits from year to year. |
