Trading injured players

I can't do it... can't even offer it... but the AI can offer me a trade including a guy that has a career ending injury.

I wanted to include a great prospect in a trade, it was 1 week before the deadline. When I put him in the box it said it was an illegal trade, or something similar. He had a day to day for 5 more days.
The next season I got a trade offer from Atlanta, they offered to send me 2 guys, one had just gone down with a career ending injury 3 days earlier.

Now obviously, a career ending injury is just stupid in a trade offer. The idea that the computer can offer injured players but I can't is wrong. But the idea that I can't trade an injured guy is stupid. Just because he's injured doesn't necessarily mean he's not still a great prospect, or a great player if he wasn't a prospect.

This is certainly an issue, and I am glad that it has finally been brought up.

However, to be fair, there are some stupid deals accepted out there IRL. I'm a minor league hockey fan, and two teams in the Central Hockey League yesterday just exchanged the rights to a particular defenseman. That would have been all well and good, had said defenseman NOT just been signed to a contract with an ECHL team last week. Seems to me, one team did not get much in return for their guy!
