Can't get Lahman's database to work

I'm doing the same thing I did with any of the other OOTP's. What am I doing wrong?

I had a problem too. By chance do you have OOTP installed to a custom location?

Regardless, if the error you're getting is that the database can't be found try the following: Move the Lahman DB folder to the OOTP 2006 folder. Now if you type in the path to the Lahman DB it should work. Well, it fixed the problem for me anyways.

I haven't had any problems using the Lahman DB. I unzip the csv files to c:\stats\lahman53 and in the game, I select the master.csv in that folder. Works like a charm!

Mine didn't work until I moved it to the game directory - pretty bizarre I know. The only thing I can think of that's different about my setup, is I didn't install OOTP to the default directory. Not that it should matter, but maybe that's the source of the bug?

Just curious, did you install OOTP to the default location?

I am not getting an error message, it's just that I extract the database into the league folder and none of the names players, etc. show up. That always worked from 5 to 6.5.

Are you creating a historical league to import into or are you creating a fictional league and you're trying to import real players into that?

Historical starting in 1901, and then I tried the regular 2006 league with the DB.

If you are using Lahman 5.3 can you just try the same tests / imports but with 5.1 or 5.2 and let me know
